Jessica Bromley

Chorus/Computer Science

Jessica is a dual threat - teaching Chorus and Computer Science - who is celebrating 20 years in the district! She attained a Bachelor’s degree in Music Education and a Minor in Jazz Vocal Performance from Duquesne University.

Presley is a Life Skills Teacher in the Jr./Sr. High School and is an integral part of our programming.

Emotional Support

Erin is an Emotional Support Teacher for the district, working in the Jr./Sr. High School.

Mike Duca

Dean of Students

Mike has a long and distinguished teaching career in the Sto-Rox School District. You’ll likely hear his name in the halls before you see his face; that’s just one example of how well-known this Long Island native is at the Junior/Senior High School. Mike attained his Masters in Special Education and his Bachelors in Elementary Education from the University of Scranton.

Paula Dugan

Physical Education

Paula has been with Sto-Rox schools since 1993. She studied Health and Physical Education at Lock Haven University Master, and later attained a Master’s degree in Social Work from the University of Pittsburgh.

Ben Engelhard

Spanish

Ben has been a teacher in the Sto-Rox School District since 2007. He has a degree in Spanish and Iberian Studies from Penn State University. His wife - Suellen Engelhard - is also a district teacher!

Suellen Engelhard

Chorus/Music

Suellen is entering her 26th year as a Sto-Rox teacher specializing in music. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Music from Edinboro and her Master’s degree in Elementary Education from Duquesne University. And - she’s married to fellow district teacher Ben Engelhard!

Chris Galiszewski

Learning Support

Chris joined the district during the 2023-2024 school year and works as a Learning Support Teacher in the Jr./Sr. High School.

Jordan Gibbs

Science

Jordan is coming off of their first year with Sto-Rox! You can see how they get students involved in lessons by checking out this classroom video from March 2024.

Julie Himmelstein

Library, Media Teacher

Julie is a familiar face to Sto-Rox students. She has a Bachelor’s degree in Communications from Grove City College before attaining her Master’s in Library Science from Clarion University.

Bradley Hoffman

Science/Social Studies

Bradley has taught in Sto-Rox schools since 2002 - 20 years ago! He attained his Master’s in Teaching just down the road at the University of Pittsburgh.

Mark Huber

Social Studies

Mark has been with the district since 1999! He has a Master’s in teaching from the University of Pittsburgh and teaches courses ranging from Global Awareness to Global Issues.

Suzan Kattan

Math

Suzan has taught in Sto-Rox schools since 1995. She has a Bachelor’s degree in education and a Master’s degree in education from Duquesne University.

Maria Kotek

Math

Maria has been a mainstay in Sto-Rox, teaching here since 1997. She has two degrees from Duquesne University: A Master’s degree in Education, and a Bachelor’s degree in Math Education.

Joseph Krajcovic

Science

Joseph has been with Sto-Rox School District for nearly 20 years! He has a Master’s in Secondary Education, and he brings a wealth of expertise to Science courses at the Jr./Sr. High School.

Ken Lex

English

Ken specializes in English Language Arts for Sto-Rox, and has taught in the district for nearly 30 years! He has a degree in English Education from Indiana University of Pennsylvania.

Art

Daniele has decades of experience in Sto-Rox schools. This art teacher graduated with a Bachelor’s degree from Seton Hill University and keeps students engaged in art all year long!

Dawn Marshall

Business Education

Dawn has taught in Sto-Rox School District for 23 years. She attained her Bachelor’s degree in Business Education from Indiana University of Pennsylvania, and she attained her Master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Point Park University in Pittsburgh.
